I'm afraid now that they won't bring Jack back. They said they would. Meep. But lack of word on that recently makes me fear the worst.

mostly this is because ten/jack? hot like burning.

Yeah, what's up with that? Because the other thing imprinted on my brain was that while Captain Jack wouldn't be around during the second series, he'd show up sometime in the middle of the third series. And that may still be true, and they're just keeping it under wraps or whatnot (which is cool with me, actually -- Captain Jack's the best kind of surprise *g*), but I AM IMPATIENT.

Basically, because what you said: Ten/Jack = HOT LIKE BURNING. Because Ten? Would totally kiss back. *nods*

Captain Jack had better show up in the third series! I know he's getting his own show, but I still want to see him with the Doctor again.

I think they're afraid that all the pretty between Captain Jack and Ten would just make everyone's televisions explode. *vbg*

For real, I have no idea why, but I went into The Christmas Invasion thinking Billie was leaving at the end of the series. This is kind of hilarious and awesome, watching the spoiler freakout from the sidelines. HEE. :)

I thought that was common knowledge? I knew and I don't even search out spoilers. Are people freaking?

THANK YOU! I thought that was common knowledge, too!

No one on my friendslist is really freaking out, but yeah, there's freakage on message boards and communities, and I totally do not get it. Because even if people didn't know that Billie was leaving, I thought they'd been building up to Rose's eventual departure all season. Bzuh?

I seem to recall a interview where Billie said she only wanted to do the show for 2 maybe 3 years.... or maybe I made that up.

Question: Have you heard a rumor that Rose is the Doctor's human mother? I saw someone say something about that like it was common knowledge and I was confused about how I missed it.

*random driveby on the friendsfriends*

Ya know, I was starting to think I was the only one who recalled that Rose was slated to go elsewhere post S2. I had hoped otherwise, but...

Thank you for confirming this one small shred of my sanity ;-)

Jack has to come back somehow... though I don't know how, but I was pissed as all hell that the ship in Girl in the Fireplace was from the 51st century and nobody was like, hmm, remember that other guy from the 51st century that we know...

There MUST have been some sort of press about Billie leaving; there's no way this many people could have been under the same assumption without some rumors a while back. Were they mixed in with the word that we wouldn't see Captain Jack this season? I think maybe they were, because I seem to remember that. So damn weird.

as long as i get ten every week, they could put the goddamn tin dog up there with him and i'd be happy, for i am THAT SHAMELESS *g*

I think it was something about the time when the news about Nine leaked prematurely. There were comments that Billie wasn't sure she wanted to be back with another Doctor. And then there was a follow-up that said she'd be back, but likely not for more than one season to transition... and you're right, there may have been more in the whole Jack not coming back til Season 3... *pants with desire to see Jack and Ten together*

And I don't care what they do so long as Tin Dog!Mickey stays in the Alternate Universe... they made me like him for a little bit, don't ruin it by bringing him back, unless it's for a poignant mournful scene with Mickey and Jackie, who then never see the Doctor again... ever. Well, ok, Jackie can see him again, just not Mickey...

was I the only one on my friendslist who was somehow under the impression from, like, a year and a half ago that Billie Piper wasn't going to stay through season two?

You were not the only one. I thought she was leaving, too, so all the consternation and discussion is surprising me.

And apparently, we weren't the only ones, judging by comments above. This is just ... bizarre. and kind of hilarious *g*
