Seriously. The Boston Globe had three pictures of last night's top three, and they were all in the SAME POSITION.

Meh. I'll stick to ice dancing, if it's all the same. More art, less jocks.

Dude, after the boredom of tonight, I am with you. Ice dancing actually seemed to benefit from the new scoring system -- it seemed to put some heat under the skaters in that arena and made them push the envelope, but towards artistry instead of away from it. The ice dancing competition was the best this year, IMO -- and I have NEVER said that before.

I have a friend who's been obsessed with Tanith and Ben for AGES, and it was really nice for me to finally see what she's been talking about. Search for them on You Tube and find their Elvis routine-it's GREAT. Ben's such a ham, and Tanith just SPARKLES. Gold in Vancouver, baby!

I am with you on the sameness of the programs this year. Dull dull dull dull. Also on how cute Emily Hughes was. I especially liked her little ta-da hand flips after each jump. It was like, jump! Land! TA-DAAAAA! Very cute.

But poor Sasha. I don't know if anyone really expected her to pull off a long program after doing so great in the short, but it was a shame to see her fall twice.

Emily Hughes is just a big old bundle of cute. And she was so EXCITED to be there! That made me happy. It seems that the Hughes girls are really, really well-adjusted, and it was nice to see Sarah cheering her sister on so heartily. :)

And poor, poor Sasha. I honestly wasn't expecting a miracle out of her tonight, either. But man, you couldn't help but WANT it for her, just because she so obviously wants it.

What Sasha Cohen did with her performance tonight was nothing short of phenomenal -- she recovered beautifully from her falls, and never let the program suffer for it. By the end of the performance, you forgot she ever fell at all, because like you said: she was Juliet.

And fuck, but NO ONE can touch her spiral sequences. NO ONE. WOW.

I felt absolutely heartbroken when she fell. You could just see the sadness in her eyes - kind of a kicked puppy - and I just wanted to reach out and hug her. Her drive was there, the fire was there .. I just really think the injury and her stumbles during practice shook her up.

She did recover incredibly. Her spirals were INSANE. Just wow. She really gets it when it comes to the artistry of the performance. Her short program was unbelievable and its a shame she couldnt carry over the same brilliance tonight.

Oh, Sasha!
