This morning, when Annie had woken up too early and not been able to go back to sleep, she'd packed up a few things she knew she wouldn't be using in the next couple weeks, planning on shipping a box or two back home on her way to work on Monday. This had made her sad.

The bad thing about having today as a birthday was that it was right smack in the middle of Christmas and New Year's, meaning doing anything for it was sort of difficult.
