"Amphisbaena…it's a legendary lizard believed to make its home in Libya. It's poisonous and it has two heads, one at the front and one rear. Over the centuries its image has 'evolved' in poetry, growing a bat's wings among other things. Gradually it came to be featured on many coats of arms of aristocratic families in the West."

...Izayaaan. /Shakes head. Wow, I wonder if Izaya's even smarter/more knowledgeable than Vorona...? I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised, though. Then again, doesn't Izaya only remember what he wishes to remember? Like how quickly he forgot the names of those girls in the suitcase.

"Curiously, the customer who originally gave us the information stopped contacting us afterwards."

Why do I have a feeling that "the customer" is Izaya?

Izaya's childish side is really, /really/ cute and endearing. ; ___;

Thanks for the translation~

Thank you!

Oh, Izaya, what will you do next (and probably get away with/blame someone else)?

Izaya not knowing about anything--besides hotpot parties XD--seems a bit suspicious too...

Yep, and I can't feel guilty about depicting hi, as such disreputable character when that's how society probably views most of Durarara's characters (real life job-wise), but they are all so cute XD...Izaya, you win the Miss Disreputable beauty Contest (judged by degrees disrepute)--aw, but really, I would like to see Izaya in that dress & sash (lol almost typed slash XP)...after all, he is acts a wonderful g.i.r.l...

I should stop myself before I take this sillyness too far ;u;...

Why Nakura? anonymous February 24 2011, 10:49:31 UTC
Was Akane covering for Izaya or did he told her, posing as Nakura, to do something other than vol6 events?

Izaya apparently used someone else besides Namie to manipulate Akane. Probably so she couldn't identify him later.

Is Izaya a mythology Otaku? cheese_ninja February 27 2011, 04:08:06 UTC
Between Nakura's comment in the prologue that the books Izaya ordered with his name were "studies of folklore", Izaya's musings on dullahan's as valkyries, and Izaya's reply here about Amphisbaena, I wonder if he's actually a folklore/Occult/mythology Otaku.

When you're afraid of the nothing after death, I guess you would try to find out if you'd exist after death.
...Or something XD
But he does seem to know quite a bit about these things doesn't he?
