Sarah Vowell's latest book has gotten me interested in the presidents and first ladies. This is from the White House website's offical bio of President McKinley's wife, who apparently suffered from epileptic seizures. (Make sure you read the last sentence.)

See, I was trying to go for a more positive reading. :) But, um, yeah. I think it's a clear "nothing behind the curtain" moment of ridiculousness.
