i have mixed feelings about ww. on the one hand it's how i lost a lot of weight, but on the other, i couldn't imagine doing it again. i don't have the singleminded focus. and i think that it's too few calories to do for very long

they do have the "core" program now, where you can eat as much as you want off a list of approved foods -- basically, vegetables and lean protein. very few carbs

I think I'm going to wait on it. For one thing, I don't think I want to talk points and fat grams with my coworkers. It's not as if WW meetings are hard to come by in Chicago.

On the other hand, there was an unfortunate pants-related incident this morning while I was getting dressed for work.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

How long were you on WW? How're things post-program?

I understand about being over "normal body mass index".... I'm 5'9" and weigh about 193 pounds; according to the doctor I'm about 50 pounds over the 'healthy' weight. Twenty pounds is really not as bad as you think it is. It can be very frustrating and depressing but don't worry too much. If you are really worried about those pounds try something simple: walking after dinner for about 20 minutes every day and drinking at least 2 liters of water a day. That should help and wouldn't take changing your current eating habits. :)

Oh, don't worry...I have those 'pants-related incidents' quite often myself.
