Funny. I've had the DVD of the Russell Crowe Robin Hood lying around the house for an age, and I just couldn't muster up the ooomph to watch it, because from the reviews I knew it was going to be bad, and I was going to be disappointed. I finally girded my loins to watch it about a week ago. I felt very much the same way you did, with the same recycled actor grins.
