AH I KEEP MEANING TO FIND A CARD, ACTUALLY.

ALSO I REFUSE TO PM YOU BECAUSE GOD, WORK. EMAIL ME THAT ADDRESS, WOMAN!

And I decided that for the last two weeks of the semester (!!!!!), I'm being good and trying my hardest, but after that I'll definitely be back to that crazy mixture of RL friends shenanigans and all-hours IM marathons, with a good amount of fic here and there.

I rewatched The Long Firm while I was sick, and my desire to do fucked up Teddy/Harry fic was reignited. Also, you'd better be reading my Christmas thingie once it goes up, 'cause shit's gonna blow your mind with coolness.

Other things I am thinking of doing include finally getting my thinky thoughts on the Knave and the Hatter being components of Alice's subconscious sexuality out into some sort of a ramble, though who the hell knows if I'll have the concentration to see that through?

In conclusion, I can't sleep, and I seem to have my overly-thinky rambling brain on tonight.

But if I do then this silly dream I have that I will get to bed any time soon will be irrevocably shattered, plus my computer will be like "HUUUURGH AAAAACK PHGASLIJGSLFGJLFHNB 8|" and freeze like a billion times!

RIKE CHRISTMAS....

I am post-nano hungover or something etc

I know what you mean about the jesus thing. Baby jesus is my favorite jesus, okay, and I really love.... the spiritual feeling of christmas. and I love christmas carols and really it's the only time I'm actually okay with christian-ness, and actively want to go to church (though i go to a unitarian universalist church when i do because woop) but idk i would love to go to a midnight mass in one of those big, big cathedrals. *_* man i just. yeah.

SATURNALIA THOUGH. THAT'S MY HOLIDAY RIGHT THERE. TRUE FACT: I WILL ACTUALLY WRITE THE ZEUS/GANYMEDE SATURNALIA FIC THIS YEAR.

I'm actually Episcopalian (which is weird to say, but somehow even though I'm no longer a Christian, I still think of myself as an Episcopalian, I guess 'cause that's how I grew up? IDK), so I don't have a cathedral per se, but my church is crazy beautiful, especially with candles. I might bring my camera along and try to get some photos to post. But YES, I can still believe in baby Jesus actually, and person Jesus too. It's just the whole Easter Jesus and beyond that gives me a little trouble. Okay, like really, just the beyond part.

YOU SHOULD WRITE THAT HARDCORE.

And yus, I won NaNo even though I didn't. :D Plus today I started working on that Christmas project, so I feel all good and productive.

AND YOU SHOULD GO KICK ASS GAMING. *cheers*

mostly i just have a problem with people fagging over him like he is their personal best friend. like, to me he's a historical spiritual leader, but not the only one, and i love what he teaches - hate that the religion he ended up starting did so many bad things. also just. i love the christmas story okay. all parts of it. i don't even know it's really the only new testament stuff i like ( ... )

xD The easy way to tell if it's Episcopalian is if it reminds you of Catholicism, but with less Pope and less guilt. Also with lady clergy and gay bishops-- and I think lesbian bishops now too? Pretty sure.

ALSO OKAY THIS IS OUR GUY, OUR FIRST GAY BISHOP, AND I LOVE HIM SO MUCH:

The Daily Show With Jon StewartMon - Thurs 11p / 10cBishop Gene Robinsonwww.thedailyshow.comDaily Show Full EpisodesPolitical Humor & Satire BlogThe Daily Show on Facebook

HE RULES.

But see my thing is just that like. I still believe in something higher than us, and some sort of afterlife? But my parents probably shouldn't have raised me on Star Trek if they wanted me to just go along with the Christian worldview, 'cause um. A LOT OF TREK KIND OF INVOLVES QUESTIONING RELIGION AND WHATNOT?

Also that reminds me aaaaaaaaaah I need to go log on and talk to you about Nero and Ayel, but I'll still post this.

ETA: AHHHH SURE TDS.COM. GIVE ME AN EMBED CODE THAT DOESN'T WORK. UUUUGH.

ALSO YOU AREN'T ONLINE. :C

YAY for getting so much writing done! (Progress is progress.) And GO KEEP WRITING DO IIIIIIIT. (Also, at some point, I'm going to ninja-stalk you because I has so much want for the reading of this.)

And OH GOD CHRISTMAS EEEEEEE. Everytime I see the lights appearing around the city, I just want to cry and flail and grin and make high pitched noises. What are your plans for the holiday season, if I can be so nosy?

Eeeee, Christmaaaas! Okay, you asked, so have a loooooong ramble. xD Well, my parents are both only children and my grandparents have all been dead for at least a few years, so my brother John's just coming home from Colorado and it'll be us and the 'rents and our cat, Binx. Hopefully it'll snow again-- last year was the first time ever in my life that I've been at home and had a white Christmas! When I say that, I mean like... an inch, tops. BUT STILL. It was goddamn magical.

I finally got the DVD of A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All a while back, so I'll be watching that a few times, I'm sure (at least once with all of my friends), and I'll be watching the video Advent calendar every day. There's a kid I went to high school with who does lights at his house every year that flash and move, and you can tune into a radio station he posts on a sign outside and the lights move in time to the Christmas songs he's playing on it, and it's just magical beyond belief, so a few of us will definitely just get some hot chocolate and ( ... )

And then of course there's the little wooden nativity! I set it up on a bookshelf, and try to tell which way is east as best I can, and the wisemen start way down at that end and hang out until Christmas day, and the shepherds start inching in from the other side of the shelf (like in our den we have four bookshelves in a row along the wall, so this is the length of the room), and arrive on Christmas. And as soon as I get home from the Christmas Eve service, it'll be after midnight, so I'll move the shepherds to the stable and take the baby Jesus out from the box and put him in the manger. And then the wisemen move a little closer every day until they get there on Epiphany, and I get out the purple and green shiny threads and the clove and the gold bead that live in the box and I put them out in front to be the gold, frankincense, and myrrh. I still love the Christmas story just as much as when I was little. :D ( ... )

You suck so haaaaaaaaaaaard. Nah, good job! :D But still. SO HARD.

Also, when are you coming home exactly? We need to go see Shoaf's house, and I need to give you your present, and we need to eat unhealthy things, and maybe watch A Colbert Christmas? And just. SO MANY THINGS. Also, I'm going to the midnight service at St. Luke's, if you'd like to come/if your mother's going to try to drag you somewhere else that you'd rather not go and you need an excuse to bail.

Also we need to see Holmes. And Tintin? :D Also Tinker Tailor, if you're interested? It's got Tom Hardy and Mark Strong in iiiit~
