*grin* Muahahahaha~ IT IS GOING TO GET WORSE. I just finished writing chapter four in a burst of inspiration, and. Heh. Am proud of twistedness.

And that's to say nothing of where things will start going in chapter five! :D

The one thing I'll promise you is that no character we actually care about dies (I'm guessing nobody had an extreme emotional attachment to Lady Scott, at least). I sometimes do deathfic oneshots, but I always mark those things, even if I'm vague about which character will be dying. Honestly, I kind of hate the majority of deathfic that involves anything but the actual death itself, because it changes characters so much

Honestly though.... Wayne's mother?! Now that's a seriously low, sick blow. I think Wayne might end up completely useless from trauma and shock from here on in... or perhaps more dedicated to finding the killer than ever before?

Actually, in writing the next chapter, I found Wayne really is as much of a Captain Stoic as he can be under the circumstances. He kind of has to be, because. Well.

And I'll warn you, lest you go in with visions of disemboweled intestines dancing in your head, the next chapter's a little lower on gore than this one-- BUT I think I make up for it in the one after that. :D

Dawwwwww, see a few comments above yours for a longer version of, basically: I don't write major character death that often, and when I do, I label it. My tendency to write characterization drift is a weakness that I compensate for by writing as close to the material as possible-- I'm still kind of worried about my characterization of post-trauma Wayne

Haha, yeah I was kind of flailing when I got done with this chapter because I was scared Roxanne was going to...I don't want to say die because that was just too gruesome to simply be called death...how about "be gruesomely and terribly murdered in such a fashion that only tiny bloody pieces would be left and no one in their right mind would even have a nightmare about?" Does that work? lol

ANYWAY, I actually did go back and read all the other comments and I was so RELIEVED because dealing with Wayne would be hard enough. Megamind would just be....*shudder* I don't even want to think about it.

I can't wait for the next chapters but I HAVE TO GO TO BED. :OOOO :( So I'll just have to wait till either tomorrow morning or after I come home from school. Hopefully the former...

Heh, I mean that isn't to say that Roxie will escape totally unscathed, though I'm guessing most of you have caught on to that one at this point. But actually, ANNEKA FUN FACT, while I have kinks for breathplay, general violence, knifeplay, gunplay, bloodplay, etc, anything that involves actual dismemberment or separation of body parts from body parts still squicks me... so at the very least it'd probably have been a WHOLE corpse left! :D *cheerfully hides THAT ONE FIC where I broke this rule*

That's one reason I'm enjoying writing this fic so much, though-- I'm totally freaking myself out, AND I KNOW HOW EVERYTHING'S GONNA TURN OUT.

My computer died out on me the other day, so I missed like two or three days worth of posts and I'm trying to go through them all in order in between doing homework so I don't skip anything epic. XD I can't wait to get to it, though! I guess it's better than sitting here, refreshing the page and wishing someone would post something LOL. XDXD
