NaBloPoMo #22: A dream, a meme and a Wheee!

1. I had a crazy dream last night. I dreamed that DD and I went to church and discovered that the church had been moved to a remodeled house with a cathedral ceiling throughout. When we got there, a potluck was going on. We left out the back of the building, where members of the congregation were selling industrial cleaning supplies. We had come on ( Read more... )

She's apparently a big fan of Declaration, Light On, Permanent, Bar-ba-sol (!!) and Come Back to Me - I've heard her singing along to that one too :D

I had a feeling, if nothing else, she'd like Bar-ba-sol. How can you resist that beat?? :)

Thanks for stealing my meme. Sometimes I think no one reads those things!

Ooooh, icon :)

Yeah, she was a Castronaut during S7 and was really unhappy when he got bumped, so she switched to Archie because "he's cute". Plus she just doesn't like the "old songs" they have to sing on the show. (I do think Idol could TRY to get clearance for some songs in the past 5-10 years, y/y?) Anyway I had DCTR on in the car a few days ago and she grudgingly admitted, "David Cook is pretty good." Then I offered to put it on her iPod and she let me. Then by yesterday she was singing along to various songs on the record while she was on the computer. She says, "It's all your fault, Mom. I sort of hate you for making me like David Cook." Heh. "I didn't make you like him; he made you like him." D'oh!

Oh thank you for the icon luv! I made that! *puffs up proudly* (I made a whole bunch actually, and I'm working on more. hehe.)

I will give her that Castro was kinda cute (tho he was much better on the studio tracks or the tour). lol castronaut. I totally had not heard that before. And I TOTALLY agree about the songs. There are so many things I would have loved to hear Cookie do. And the show gets horribly repetitive from year to year when you hear the same songs every year. There are some that at this point should just be stricken from the list they've been done so many times! XD

Oh yes, you must keep the defenses up high or he will totally get you in his clutches! haha. yes plz!!

Well, admittedly I was there many years ago, on my little 3-week tour of England. We never even managed to cross the Severn into Wales, much less jump over to Ireland (I went with my sister and her husband, and our dad is 100% Irish-American so it would've been nice to visit the Auld Sod.) Anyway SISS-ister (yes, we learned how to pronounce it) was very charming. We spent two nights there, which was the longeste we stayed anywhere except London. One day it rained and then there was a rainbown right over the Roman wall. And I seem to recall walking past the Oxfam office there, and buying a couple of tiny "toy sheep" (wooden with wool glued to them) as souvenirs. Heh.
