I've never heard of that happening with a bunny either so I really hope the Dr. can figure out what is wrong with her.

Oh, poor Fudge :( We've given my guinea pigs Baytril before for bacterial infections (and maybe fungal infections?), so I hope it helps for your little guy.

Dr. Tom thinks there might be some sort of fungus involved, but where Fudge picked it up is debatable. Possibly from the litter? except that Albus uses the same litter and has no lesions. Hmmm.

1. Go away, Gustav.
2. Poor Fudge! Baytril's good stuff, though - it's sort of like the penicillin of the vet world for animals that can't have penicillin. Hopefully that will help.
3. Eeeek! I'm glad you're all right, though!
4. Interesting meme. I might have to steal that one. :)

1. Honestly? My family doesn't need any more hurricanes, kthx. They were lucky 3 years ago; might not be this time. I wonder where my dad will evacuate to?

2. We have never administered Baytril before. I guess my cats (late, lamented) didn't need that sort of antibiotic. But Fudge seemed to like it; Dr. Tom mixed it up in a pina colada base!
3. So am I. Whew. See: Life flashing in front of your eyes.
4. Oh, please do :D

Baytril (enrofloxacin) is like Cipro for critters. It's the big gun broad-spectrum antibiotic. However, don't ask me WTH those cysts? were on your bunbun's foot, because I'm more of a laboratory technician with a focus on canine/equine species. If you give me a sample of the cells from that foot, tho, I could smear and stain the fuck out of 'em, I promise you that! :D

Oooh, someone who knows something :D Sorry, I don't think I'll be sending you any foot-lesion specimens in the mail...but thanks for the offer.

And your icon? ♥ 20-gallon hat!

Oh my gosh on Fudgie! Geez, I hope they figure something out.

And double OMG with your traffic 'almost crash'! That's super scary. I'm glad you were okay. That's happened to me before--slipped out into the intersection by accident, thinking I had the arrow, but I didn't *yikes*.

I haven't checked my email lately but maybe I will hear something from the vet's office soon.

Yeah, I told my DH that my life didn't quite flash before my eyes yesterday but I was glad that I didn't panic and figured out what to do in time.

Re #1: Received a text message from my sister today about this French bastard that is largely unrepeatable. Gustav, FOAD and leave my family the G*DDAMED HELL ALONE.

My mother is so freaked she is repeating herself more than usual, my sister is actvely seeking drugs, and my en-tire family are planning their evacuation.

THIS SUX BIG ONES. THE TIMING SUX, EVERYTHING JUST BITES THE BIG ONE.

I suppose Gustav will have to FOAD because, being all wet, he can't DIAF? *hugs* My sister Ellen is already "booking a room Chez (sister-in-law in Opelousas)". I need to call my dad to see what his plans are in case he needs to evacuate. He's 84 and we don't like the idea of him driving by himself to Tulsa, which is the closest landing point on the family tree.
