1. Yes yes yes. I think. 2. I am 5 ft 1.5 inches, although I generally round up and lie and say 5'2". Enjoy your new toys! 3. Grrr is right. I've used treadmills a lot and haven't noticed. Maybe that says something about my posture in general...? 4. At least you aren't wearing a bunny suit. ;-) I went to bed last night wearing a flannel nightgown, long john pants that peeked out from under the hem, and bright pink polartec socks. Such a vision of loveliness!! MrGrey, bless his heart, said not a thing. He just pulled the blaknets higher over me and turned the light out (rather quickly, too, hmmm...)
I do so love that movie--and you know, I'd never seen it until this Christmas. I was stunned at some of the jokes--the lamp? Good Lord. But such a great, fun movie.
Wordy McWord on the cold. -7 when I drove Daughter to school this morning, with a -23 windchill. And it's going below zero tonight and not coming back again until sometime on Monday afternoon. Gotta love the midwest in winter!
And I feel your pain on teh short. Not that I'd know on the treadmill (although I ought to get back to it), but I am much with teh frustration of being short.
2. Yes, yes, move that thing down. Having the ouchy neck and shoulders is not good.
3. So, uh, ignore the heart rate thingies (you can count this information for yourself if you want to know it, and really, walking with your arms held steady in front of you is pretty ergonomically weird for any function other than pushing a shopping cart or stroller). Only grab the side rails if you need to steady yourself. Because actually, seriously, not holding onto the stuff is better exercise for two reasons: for one thing, you are moving your arms too, which actually has some (minimal, but some) positive increase on calorie/work total, and 2. You are then using your "core" muscles (abs, low back, obliques) to hold you up, rather than your shoulders, which is unnatural anyway. If it means you have to slow the treadmill a little bit to maintain balance, so be it
( ... )
Okay, I'm so sorry if this sounds totally silly, but I can't remember if I'd asked before, and I like to have people's permission. Is it alright if I fwend you? *Puppy eyes*

Haha -- no bunny suit for me. And that was Ralphie! But I didn't shoot my eye out, so that's good.

Yes, I know you're short too, though maybe not quite as short as I am.
