Just out of morbid curiosity, what does a carbon fiber flute go for? At first I thought "zOMG, expensive!" ... and then I realized that carbon fiber is pretty mainstream these days...
This one cost me $355. The whistle would have been cheaper (more like $195) but I really liked the voice on the flute better. I may eventually get the whistle though.
(I didn't ask about pricing on the larger flutes they had, but presumably those would have been pricier. Like the D they had but which they'd sold by the time Dara and I found them.)
That's not too bad. I haven't exactly bought a lot of flutes in my life so I didn't really have a basis for comparison, but that's in the ballpark of what I was thinking. So how many whistles/flutes do you own know?
