A credit card is an awesome thing to have. I pay mine off in full every month (or quicker, if I can) and I know it's quite easy to be sensible with it if you're sensible with money already so I don't know why people panic so much about it. You, from what I can tell, are very sensible with money so there'll be no problems. Plus, so many things - like travel - are easier with a credit card!

Exactly :D Once I actually get a statement through I'll set it up to pay off automatically, so that'll be easy.

AMEX is really backwards. They don't have a chip OR the option to pin. Weirdos.

That's because AMEX is American and the US is strangely backward about credit card technology.
