today it seems like everyone I know, from family to workmates to friends to facebook friends, is doing fantastically. my dad passed an exam today. my brother passed his driving theory. a friend got a very well paid job. my mum got a signed picture of a celebrity in the post (i shit you not). others are getting new houses and housemates. getting ( Read more... )

I know this won't make things better but heres some hugs. If you need to vent to someone not envolved in everything just pm and I'm happy to chat and to help in any way I can. Due to personal experiences I really do understand what you're going through! More hugs.

first of all, i'm really shocked and angry that you have to pay that much for a visa if you're not married, especially if you're not legally allowed to get married- that's flat-out discrimination, what the actual fuck. and wherever you work, the people sound like assholes! don't they have anything in place to help you if you have problems with hearing customers or whoever? where i work it's often the other staff members who bring me to tears (that's a self-centred blog entry for another day) but if a customer comes in and starts acting like a dick towards any of the desk staff they instantly get shown to the door. i suppose it's because the library is a public service- in the council's eyes the people providing that service have more rights than the people using or abusing it, as it's all free. but wherever you are, you should be able to work without being made to feel awful :( i feel lucky that i only have myself to support, as it's the knowledge that i could just up and quit which gets me through most days(even though that would be ( ... )
