i. It's the end of January and of course the flu season finally caught up with me. Ugh. I wonder if there will ever be a winter when I won't be sick. Maybe if I moved to someplace warm and sunny ( Read more... )

i) I'm sorry you're sick:( *sending you virtual tea and tissues*
ii)I like cousin-in-law and I'm pretty sure I have some. But then again, I'm from South Carolina so we probably just call them all cousin.
iii) eww, taxes.
iv) seems like a bizarre strategy for a detergent company to me.
v) This is absolutely true. Yay Ellen! I love her. Completely. And what sucks is that I think the bandwagon for her getting recognition on Grey's has gone past. Have you seen Moonlight Mile? It's the first movie she was ever in. Stars Jake Gyllenhall and Susan Sarandon (and Dustin Hoffman, too). Excellent movie. /end Ellen babble.

Thank you. Although I shouldn't be whining, it's just the flu and really not that bad...

I am afraid you're right about EP and Grey's and I have also wanted to see Moonlight Mile for ages!

Re: Moonlight Mile. Rent it, like now. I own it but I have no idea how I could get it to you. I'll just come to Munich;)

ii.) I love Kadinsky and it seems like a very interesting exhibition. Good for you! (We call them my cousin's husband/wife)

v.) I've actually kind of got into Grey's again. Haven't seen season 5 yet, but I did watch most of season 4 last month and the ending episodes weren't that bad. Since I've been reading spoilrs I know all about the Denny thing (which is ridiculous) but, suprisingly, it doesn't make me not want to see it. And I absolutely agree about Ellen Pompeo.

Heh, we do, as well, but it seems like such a mouthful. ;-)

I've actually kind of got into Grey's again.

I didn't know! Well, you have to check out some fic then, because there's great stuff. The thing with Grey's is, it's like a bad drug addiction to me. I know it sucks, it's pissing me off most of the time and I am ranting much more than I am raving about it. But I can't let go. Plus, with season 5, there are a lot of things I love, while a few really make me sick./end of rant for now

Go on then. Rec me some fic. You know you want to.

This reminds me of something... :P

I was thinking of DC as well. :-P There's a list of really great GA fic at Tay's journal and I am shamelessly refering you there: http://mrsfjl66.livejournal.com/33293.html#cutid1

You should also check out her fic, especially 'Not Fine'. :-)

You know, I know and love Franz Marc's horse paintings but I had, for some reason, never seen Gelber Tiger before and I've been staring at your post on and off while I do other computer-based things and wishing I could see the original.

I parted company with Grey's for a while last week but I made friends with it again! I devote too much time to it not to like it, I think! But, even at the time, I too was blown away by the scene at the end and Ellen Pompeo's acting.

Sorry to hear you're sick.

The horse paintings are beautiful, too, but to me they're just not as captivating. Have you seen the painting of the yellow cow? It's wonderful for completely different reasons. Also, I just realized I have no idea where you are actually loving. Because the exhibition will move to Paris in the spring and New York in the fall - however, I suppose that only concerns the Kandinsky paintings and not the Blue Rider ones. In conclusion, you just have to come to Munich!

Grey's is like crack to me, too.

So, I just checked and saw you're in Scotland - that's not too far for a mini-break ;-)

Anyway, the link to the cows: http://www.dhm.de/lemo/objekte/pict/marc2/index.html

I was just about to reply to the first one when I got this one. I hadn't seen the cows before and, once again, I'm awe inspired. So great even on the internet. Thank you for the link.

Yes, Scotland is correct, so by no means too far for a mini-break. And I love visiting Germany. So I may well do that. Actually, from my first look at Gelber Tiger some part of my brain was already thinking along these lines . . .
