Going to see "The Book of Mormon"

We have opening night tickets tonight, and were lucky to snag those. By the time general ticket sales opened up for the Orlando run, there were almost none left. And we only got the tickets we did because we paid with American Express for play tickets before, and there's a deal in place that AE customers get a few days advance notice of open ticket ( Read more... )

Did you see yesterday that Strike Back was renewed for a fourth and final season? Glad we're getting at least one more but I'm already sad to see it go so soon after getting into it.

YES! I did see that, and I'm a little surprised because the way the third season ended gave me a feeling that it might be a series finale. And I wasn't ready for it!

I'd rather know in advance that a series is setting up to end at a specific time, so I appreciate Cinemax making that announcement. Looking forward to 10 more episodes. :)

Did you watch the first episode of Strike Back: Origins? Not the same vibe at all, and kind of depressing. I'll stick with it since there are only 5 more episodes, but I definitely like the Scott/Stonebridge version better. ;D

When Strike Back hadn't yet been renewed by the time the season finale aired I thought for sure it was canceled. But I would have been okay with that last episode being a series finale as there was no cliffhanger, etc. and the guys were in a good place.

I'm also glad that the writers/creators know that they've only got 10 eps left so they can plan accordingly. Though man, with the huge body count on this show I'm now terrified that neither of them will survive and I'll be wishing season three was the end!

I was barely home at all last week with my friend from Germany visiting and then I was at the SPN convention, so Origins is still sitting on my DVR. I had a feeling it was going to be depressing just from the fact that we know John Porter is killed in the first episode of the Scott/Stonebridge series, so I'm kind of hoping I don't get too attached to him and his partner!

Yeah, I can barely bring myself to watch The Tomorrow People. I hope my younger son will forget about it so I won't have to bother, but he seems to like it OK, just not enough to make time to watch it ( ... )

Yeah, I left it on for noise after Arrow last night, since Modern Family was a repeat, and, again, I just don't care.

On the flip side, OMGArrow! So awesome. Even though I think everyone had figured out who Black Canary was, they still played it well. And Arrow and BC fighting side by side was so much comic book porn! I'm really loving this show - S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Tomorrow People have nothing on it WRT superhero storytelling.

And I have to say they caught me unawares with the Alderman. I just got done tweeting that I was happy he seemed to be a good guy, when, BAM! Well played, show, well played. ;D

Yeah, why the hell don't I have an Arrow icon?

I had so many high hopes for this season but the only new show I'm enjoying is Sleepy Hollow. At least the shows I thought about giving up--Revenge and The Vampire Diaries--are actually ( ... )
