The week has flown by, and I had every intention of updating before this. In fact, the month has has practically come and gone and I've only managed to post twice? Oh, man, I totally lose. My bad

Yeah, The Spousal Unit and I like it too. We're not happy. Bummer. :(
Owen? You mean there's other guys on that show? Huh. Guess I've never seen past the ridiculously pretty John Barrowman. (grin)
Seriously! Though haven't you noticed that Jack actually spends more time in the background, and Owen seems to hook up with all his coworkers (and the one he doesn't hook up with pines for him - please). And when he's not banging coworkers, he's banging the latest chick du jour that week. And they're all in love or lust with him. It's insanity! Or something foul in the water, that's the best I can figure.
Actually, I find Kristen Bell as creepy as Burn Gorman. They both have humanly impossible jawlines and weird eyes, although Kristen can more easily pass for normal than Burn can.

She does have a very hard and angular face, I'll give you that. It's distinctive, for sure. ;)
But I still think her character on the show holds a lot of potential, and is just about the most interesting one they've introduced this season, even with what little they've given us. Which is why I think they should have given us a lot more, and a lot less of most of the others. Plus I think KB can act circles around most of the cast.
Believe me, it's not a translation problem:). He is a repulsive, misogynistic little creep... Oh, yes. And date rapist.
Oh, yeah, can't forget about the date-rape angle. *groan* Seriously, RTD has got a fucked-up, warped sense of what's sexy and appealing. It's disturbing.
I'm glad to know it ain't just me, though. *whew* ;)
Dexter has to kill him too; OR, he really does have to set him up as the BHB, some how, some way.Well, given that Doakes put himself right in Lundy’s sights like a dumbass, I think that if Dexter plays it right, he can definitely pin this whole mess on Doakes. And frankly, I would rather see that than see Dexter forced to violate The Code to kill him. Dexter is struggling enough right now to figure out who he is and what he wants without being forced to go that far off the reservation. And I honestly believe that the Code has become part of who Dexter is and how he sees the world, but it’s so intertwined in his relationship with Harry, that he’s having trouble figuring out how much of that is for himself and how much was just for Harry. But no matter how resentful he becomes of Harry, he still won’t violate the Code, which tells me that for whatever reason, the Code is something that Dexter believes in himself. And the affair between Harry and Dexter’s mom is also a fascinating twist because it raises so many questions about why

his relationship with Lila has also led him to face some things that he wouldn’t have and has led him to sort of some things about who he is that he wouldn’t have Pardon me, sort *out* some things.

I agree with you completely that whatever else is going on, and whatever confusion Dexter has about what happened in the past with Harry and his mother, he's still predisposed to be bound by the Harry Code. So, yeah, killing Doakes really doesn't fit the Code - it only works to keep Dexter's secret safe. But he has to do something about Doakes, and setting him up as the BHB shouldn't be too hard, especially given Doakes' history of erratic violent behavior, his Black Ops training, and his own ties to several of the BHB murder case files. Since Lundy, Angel, and Deb already know for certain that the BHB is one of their own, someone has to take the fall. Who besides Dexter is in a better position to be set up for it?
...why did he take care of Dexter and leave Brian out in the cold

Oh, wow, what a delightful report to read! Joe's looking painfully thin in those pics, though. I knew he was wiry, but never realized just how skinny he was before!
The more I read about him, the more I think that sitting down for 30 minutes and talking to him would be a highly....enlightening experience. ;-)

In one of the first episode, didn't Dexter voice-over that he knew Doakes was on to Dex because Dexter recognized the possibility of the same darkness in Doakes? (Or was that just in the books?)
I’m beginning to wonder if that's brought into play at some point, and Dexter either flicks the switch that makes Doakes a fellow monster, or somehow makes Doakes see the public service Dexter is doing.
I don't see the logic in NBC's decision to cut Journeyman short, either. If you come across some kind of explanation for that, please pass it on

Yeah, I get that impression too, more and more. Definitely not the type of actor/celebrity one could pigeon-hole. I think that's why he continues to intrigue me (when others do not - *g*).

I mean, seriously, I wouldn't fuck Owen as long as Jack was anywhere in the universe.
