My so-called quiet month.

I had been posting once a week, at a minimum, and often more frequently, but this past month I've been lax. I'd thought that I'd have more time to write now that we're past the holiday season, and Horizon Theatre was to be dark this month. HAHAHAH.

Do something necessary for yourself - because you know you haven't written about all the stress you have right now - and let go one thing:

I'll do the Monday night food; if you already promised Suzanne, I haven't yet.

Oh, that would be a help! I can get chips and dip, just for filler, in that case.

I'm bringing some snacks as well, so we should be well taken care of! No worries. :)

I hate feeling like a dead weight. Sandy and Jaynie are such astounding bakers.

How nice to see you here again :) I updated on the poetry just once; I have been too busy to do more. In my case it's building a kitchen that delays me, but I'm nearly done.

I'd be able to balance it all just fine if I didn't need that pesky day job!

How pesky would that be? ;)

For my next piece of the jigsaw I am torn between continuing from that point, or handling Pellinore's voyage to the Orkneys. The first requires intensity and power, the second has plenty of content but needs to keep the reader wanting to read it. It is in a sense a sort of 'Bree to Rivendell' thing; incident must be mixed with some world building to keep both interesting in themselves. A real challenge.

The day job is pesky in that I need money for the mortgage, and food, and utilities, and health insurance. It is pesky in that I must be there five days a week, from 8:00 to 5:00, doing the work I'm paid to do.

Will peruse the poetry shortly.
