Hesco in Katrina

Oops! ilea lives in New Orleans, and she explains how they were used in the comment immediately below. So they were there. :)

Hesco baskets? Yeah they used them during katrina on airline hwy and between katrina and rita to reinforce the levees.. after awhile water just starts going through them which is why they are burying them and using them to help preserve the wetlands.

I hope there's not another attack. :(

Attacks in Afghanistan

Yeah, but there will be. This is "fighting season" there, starting in May, and what is left of Al Q and its subset, the Haqqani Network, is throwing everything they've got. *sigh*

Thank you for the moral support and the new info about the Hesco baskets! I love them. I sent them an email fan letter; they didn't write back.
