LOL! I was going to say, "no, surely the hamster is on steriods!"
It took me a minute to understand you meant me. :)
Good idea. Gotta do something; I'm spoiling all my fun by staying up until sunrise. Not good.
Yeah, it's about the dog - I have a new flister with a GSP-beagle and she sent me some photos that really set me off - and about Savant being gone for ten days coming up soon. My best neighbor-friend will be gone the same ten days, and I'm anxious about it.
And some other stuff, none of it earth-shaking and much of it not even really my problem, but it's been keeping me up nights. Bah!

So send me photos of the dog, please? Or post one or two here? I hope you find a back up friend to be there for you if you need someone to help you out while Savant is gone.
The oh-so-romantic question is, eeeew... who can pull the ticks off me when he's not here?
Abu Felix will try, but he's not around much and he has the same getting-older eyes I do, almost too old for close work like tick removal. But I have magnifying glasses and such.
But eeew, y'know, it's not the kind of thing I can ask just any neighbor and I was really counting on The Artist (who is female, even better) to be around. Eeeew!
OTOH, The Artist says she put tea tree oil on her little dog's ticks and they all pulled themselves off the dog for easy removal. But eeeew.

Oh lolz to the lol hamster (hilarious) and the sheep.
Sympathies from a fellow insomniac. I'm not good on my own (which is all the time til my fiance rejoins me in October)and understand your angst.
My insomnia is not helped any by the public walkway right by my ground floor bedroom windows. Last night as just as I was drifting off around 4am (which is after sun up this far North) I was roused by the home-going nightclubbers clip-clopping along in heels while having shouted conversations.
Presumably they are still hearing impaired from all the loud music, but the heels bother me just because I can never wear them.
So yeah, insomnia and shoe envy.
PS Nice to know I'm not the only one surfing in the small hours. Last night I got all curious about the amazing star-nosed mole and its ability to breathe underwater to follow a scent trail Then that led me to all exploring all sorts of strange and wonderful creatures, like the blob fish and aye aye. I finally nodded off around 9am!
