Poor Ace! At eighty pounds (36 KG), he is too light to break through the ice covering the snow in the back yard. Savant dug paths for him, but Ace went... is "off-piste" the right term?... and fell, and then lay there on his side in the cold for two minutes while Savant hastily found and put on his shoes and went out to rescue him

I've mentioned that Kuma is having trouble with his legs too; I've seen him trip and fall in the snow, and even in the house, sometimes, going up or down stairs. He's still able to get up and down when he's going into or out of the house, but I'm worried that I might have to start carrying him up the back stairs soon. *sighs*
Sometimes I see him outside lying in the snow and I get worried, but when I go outside he just gets right up; I think he's just sitting and relaxing. But I worry.
I'll think good thoughts for Ace!
