Rats For Adoption in NoVa DC Area

Apr 21, 2008 17:03

The Fairfax County Shelter has two six-month-old rats for adoption, both male with photos at the URLs below.

Copernicus is a solid white with red eyes.

Archimedes is white banded with chocolate brown across his head and shoulders.

I suspect they are brothers. We can't adopt right now, but perhaps there are local rat fanciers on my flist?

Why are you looking at animals at shelters???

It is because of you and your search for just the right dog that I ended up with my new pooch!

Why Checking Shelters? ankhorite April 22 2008, 13:21:14 UTC

My rescue league has asked me to monitor the shelter near my house for a particular lost dog, so I have to visit the site twice a day.

I went to the shelter once and will not go again.

I am so happy for you and Wags and Addy!

I go to the league picnic in mid-May and perhaps there will be a dog for me there. Or not. I have learned patience. It would be a bad idea to get a dog now, as we will be in NJ for M's Day (and no one there will let us bring a dog) and then, late May, in Illinois for two weeks.

I'd rather bond with the dog for a while before getting a dogsitter for such an extended period.
