I can't describe how hard I squee'd when I saw this. This pairing gets too little love, and I finally get to add some Arabic and Turkish music to my collection. I can't wait to listen! :D

>///< It makes me so happy that you were excited for this; I was worried, with this pairing's sad lack of popularity, that no one would be interested. I do hope that you enjoy it!

Also, if you want recommendations for Arabic music, feel free to ask me; it's what I was basically raised on, and I'm still a huge fan of it.

(saving it for the train ride to work)

But yes, I'd love any suggestions! I'm desperately lacking in music from that part of the world.

Well, since my family is from Egypt most of the music I know is in that dialect of Arabic, but some singers I recommend are:

Amr Diab (the one featured in this FST), Ehab Tawfik (whose songs are either very pop and silly, or very depressing), Mostafa Amr (whose sound feels a lot more traditionally Arabic), Fares Karam (a Lebanese singer with many very perverted songs), Nancy Ajram (also Lebanese, but she sings in both dialect. I think her Lebanese songs, including Yay, Lawn Eeyonak, and Ehsas Gideed), and Asalah (most of her songs are also very deep and emotionally heavy).
