I personally don't mind the ghostwritten books. Of course, most of them I've only read once and that was before I even knew that they were ghostwritten . . .
I don't see the fuss either. They're not that great, I noticed they got a little tiresome when I read them (before I knew they were ghostwritten), but they're not terrible, imo.
I don't mind most of them, either! Except the Rachel v. Dave one is like a bad fever dream. No matter how many times I read it. I honest to god still don't understand what happens in that book.
I also think the not!Atlantis one reaaally misses the target on the series' overall anti-war messages, which bothers me, and I take issue with the characterization in a couple other books... but IIRC Starfish!Rachel was a ghostwritten book, and that one is hilarious, so.
I love #19 too, and according the survey on my AniQuote site, it's actually one of the most popular. In fact, I think it's number one, at least among the people who've taken my survey. I was a little surprised, but pleased.
I'm not really a fan of Tobias and I just don't get why everyone seems to like him.
I didn't really like him the first time I read it and even when I reread it a couple summers ago I still didn't really care for him. he's okay, I like him more then Cassie but not by much.
Personally, he pings all my MUST PROTECT AND FEED COOKIES sensors now, and he was OMG I WANT TO HUG HIM waaay back when I was a kid and first reading the books?
But I've had a crush on him for a decade, I'm not sure I'm the right one to try and give a rational explanation. XD
he pings all my MUST PROTECT AND FEED COOKIES sensors now in the first book I got that too but after that, once he was a Hawk he seemed happy and so I didn't get that anymore (also as a guy that was a lot like him I didn't like some of his choices so that didn't help)
You know I didn't have a crush on any of the book Animorphs and I never realized that until now. I liked some of them but never crush like, (now TV Jack...that was a crush but that has nothing to do with Animorphs and everything to do with him and his brother but I digress) so yeah, just never got it. but it's okay to each there own

Oh! Except I actually do like the ending. XD

I don't have huge problems with Cassie. She's flawed, sure, but I don't hate her.
I enjoy the one where Rachel morphs a starfish and gets split in half.
