why Fullmetal Alchemist?

I don't get it.

I was at Alcatraz, being miserable because I hate tourist traps AND I loathe places like that (which is only a smidge ironic, since I'm the one who wanted to go), and there's a chick behind me with a Fullmetal Alchemist FANNY PACK.

You know what make the FMA movie work for me? neojanus October 24 2006, 04:39:55 UTC
Hot Gypsy Girls. Oh yeah, mocha colored beauties make any movie automatically three stars. You think I'm joking-?

Seriously, it was quick moving, made sense, filled up anime holes and was just action packed enough to be uber-cool, that and anyone fighting Nazis makes anything uber-cool. And the theme was well put out for the viewer to absorb. Everyone has that desire to find home/paradise, whatever that means. For the Elrics it's being together, for everyone else it's just finding their palce in the world.

As for the anime, anime. I found the beginning and middle great, but the back third was very rushed, and could have been better. So it was an okay anime.

I think the thing that makes it popular. The idea of wanting something so bad you'd sacrifice for it and the self inflicted wounds that come from messing up. It's all about how you interpret equivalent Trade I suppose. Either that, or people find making shit out of nothing really cool.

*sigh* you really didn't read what I said... I said it was good considering how bad the anime was.
