Remember how those two shows are not actually the same? :P

Yeah, I wouldn't have expected it before the new year at the earliest, given that Series 2 aired in January.

When are the plans for more Sherlock, do you know?

...man, watching "The Empty House" makes me want to go reread "A Study in Emerald"

It is going to take some time. Moffat and Gatiss and all are busy with 50th anniversary shenanigans

Is it bad that I'm looking forward to "The 23 Doctors" rather more than I'm looking forward to the official special?

Oh man, though, "the Empty House." Can't decide which scene I like more. Is it:

Watson [by rock]: Holmes! Hoooooooooolmes!
Holmes [hiding]: W- ... :(
Audience: :( :( :( :( :(

Or is it:

Crazy Old Bookseller: You have a gap on your bookshelf
Watson [looking]: Why so yes I do. Stop looking at my bookshelf!
Holmes: Ta-da!
Watson: *hello floor*
Audience: HELLO JEREMY BRETT'S LIPSTICK!

And we've already seen from the Hobbit that Martin Freeman does a pretty respectable dead faint. (Incidentally, I think in the Reichenbach recap that's still Old!Watson not New!Watson, but the shots are from rather too far away to be able to tell).

I do have to love how different people's reactions to him were. (Man, I can tell already that's gonna garden path like mad. Sorry). Lestrade is just like "oh! you're not dead. How splendid!" Mrs. Hall gabbles incoherently and gives him a big hug. And Watson? Faints. Good old ( ... )
