Sherlock Overdose
I watched 4.5 freakin hours of Sherlock today. That's never a good idea.
Really, I think Holmes has been dead long enough now. I'm ready for "The Empty House."
We were watching "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" for a while, but we stopped when we got to "The Final Problem" so that we could let Holmes be dead for a while before moving on. But I think it's time, really.
"The Empty House" is the first televised Sherlock Holmes I ever saw. I'm looking forward to seeing it again. It was before I'd read "the Final Problem." But the structure of the book caught me unprepared - I hadn't expected "The Hound of the Baskervilles" to appear out of order. Ha, rather like expecting the events of "Meridian" to be the Season 5 finale (Stargate), rather than penultimate episode.
I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before that "The Reichenbach Fall" reminds me strongly of "Meridian" in a couple of places.
We should be having new Sherlock soon. I hope they do their Empty House justice. I would also love it to come back with Watson already married. And for Sherlock not to ruin it :/
