Oh wow. I remember the 11th Hour. I never completed the mystery, but I loved the book as a kid.

I love all of Graeme Basse's stuff, but I think The Eleventh Hour is probably the best. The Elephant's name is ...Horace, right? I was trying to remember.

I did eventually solve it, even though I couldn't get every page. And I don't think I found all the Easter Eggs.

It's books like that that make me want to have children. So that I can buy them books. I can't tell if this is a good reason or a bad reason to reproduce...

My favorite was "The Sign of the Seahorse". And yes, the elephant's name was Horace.

Easter Eggs? I never noticed those!

My mom says that sharing your favorite books with your children, and getting to relive all of the joy and wonder in them, is one of life's greatest pleasures. So I'd say that's wonderful reason to have kids; to share with them the good things about the world.
