* 93 years ago today, my grandfather was hit by a car, running across the street to buy candy in celebration of the Armistice being declared
* Nov 11th is also the birthday of Heinlein's main character, Lazarus Long. He was born the same year (1912) as my abovementioned grandfather, and both of them were named after President Woodrow Wilson.

* November 10th, yesterday, is the anniversary of the founding of the US Marine corps in 1775. Happy Birthday, Marines.
* There was a wonderful children's book by Graeme Basse called the Eleventh Hour. I think I got that book for my eleventh birthday. Juvenile cryptography for the win. Remember - Kilroy Speaks The Truth!
