I lied...
So, um, when I swore off reconstructions for awhile...I lied.
Fortuitously so, else I would not have encountered the following (from Evil of the Daleks):
Jamie: We're looking for the TARDIS
Official: What?
Doctor: That police telephone box - it's ours
Official: You called it something different...TARDIS or something
Doctor: Yes, well, that's another word for it
Official: What, are you foreign or something?
Jamie: Me, foreign? You're foreign! I'm Scottish!
...at which point the Doctor tries to convince the official that "TARDIS" is a gaelic word.
Some days, it seems like most of what Jamie says is "I'm Batman Scottish." Yes, Jamie, you certainly are.
I'm wondering if anyone besides Jamie is in this episode. Was there any time between when Ben & Polly left before Victoria showed up?
I also saw a little clip from "Power of the Daleks." Not only does the newly regenerated Doctor do nothing to reassure his companions, he keeps talking about himself in the third person! Poor Ben and Polly. Poor fans!
