I finally got a chance to see Creepy KOFY Movietime last night. What an utter piece of shit. Nothing to recommend it at all. The show is hosted by a couple of typical FM morning show douchbags doing frat-boy humor that doesn't relate in any way to sci-fi, horror, or B-movies. Just the usual doses of misogyny, substance abuse, and social bigotry

Yeah, it's a real shame. I remember KOFY fondly, because they always had this great thing where dogs would sit in a chair during the station ID, and someone would make them turn their head to look at the tv, just as the vocals sang, "TV 20!!!". And the dogs would be dogs that needed to be adopted.

They could have done anything and it would have been a better horror host show. Here are some alternative suggestions:

1. Let the dogs do it.
2. Let high school drama students do different stupid horror-based shit every week.
3. ANYTHING except for what they are doing!

Seriously, that jab at the homeless was pathetic. I wish YOU were the horror host!

Nothing makes me more angry than seeing people who know nothing at all about horror movies or cult movies, and who have no appreciation or understanding of any kind of non-mainstream movie-making, getting to host such movies.

We had an atrocious example on an Australian cable station a couple of years back. They presented a season of half-a-dozen fabulous and rarely seen cult movies, but they got a couple of radio DJs who had clearly never heard of any of the movies or any of the film-makers represented to host the films. Since these idiots didn't understand the movies they simply made snide remarks and made fun of anyone who would watch such movies.
