Ever watch the show Hoarders? It showcases the lives of people with class 5 hoarding disabilities. Ugh. Finally in the new house (pics are coming I promise) and back online via Time Warner / Roadrunner cable. God am I going to miss FIOS. The new TWC is rated at 20mbps down and 2 mbps up... which isn't too bad, but the cable latency and packet loss is horrible. FIOS was 35 down / 25 up and latency wasn't an issue. Moving is a difficult process. Not only is it physically challenging, its emotionally challenging too. Well ... the VA finally gave their nod of approval and the funding has gone through. The house is mine. Tomorrow the escrow company will finish the last step and record the deed in the my name and I'll get the keys. Looks like Santa will be coming early this year.

Well what do you know. I'm going to be a home owner! The final appraisal came in, we're right on the money (actually a little in my favor) and the VA gave me the nod to proceed.

Hey guys. I'm thinking about buying a house! Its getting to the point where I could be spending the same amount of money buying a place as I would renting a place.
