Done my taxes.
Finished my econ reading, quiz, and (mandatory) "voluntary" participation in the group discussion.
Planted the tulips I forgot to plant last fall.
Planted the seed trays I should have started a month ago.
Assorted misc housework.

Fourteen years after the first time I read it, I still don't get The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock. Or maybe I just don't care. Either way, I have a feeling writing ten pages on it will be like pulling teeth.

I like how moving the bookcases opened up the room, but jamming my toe on sharp corners where there were previously none just plain smarts. I swear the toes on either side are bruised out of pure sympathy.

I'm in the middle of reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and thus far it's fairly interesting. Good refresher on cell biology, too ( Read more... )

Nine days into November and I'm throwing in the NanNoWriMo towel. In my defense, I've already designed three flyers for the Pops, two arrangements for the cello group, written two essays and a freakin' ton of mini-essays for the train wreck of an English class, and made it to round five in stargate_las. I'd really rather have another day off, but I work tomorrow. The good part is that this week starts the new shift schedule, so I won't be pulling double duty every single day all by myself.
