It feels weird to be busy with work when the end date is looming on the horizon. Kind of like going full speed on a boat that is headed over a waterfall. I have been poking at the usual connections the past month, and all of them seem to be in the same boat...either laid off or about to be. Next step is to start sending messages in a bottle,

Glad to hear that you are doing well, mentally, there have been some big upheavals in work where I am, it's all going downhill fast, but what make it worth while are the people, and I'm going to be doing my best to hang on to them. Good work on keeping the blood sugar down, it's a bit of a struggle if you - like me - tend to eat your stress! Best wishes for you and fam, I know you will land on your feet! The last two years have been super slow artwise for me, my wall is covered with drawings in semi finished stages, but I had the urge to draw yesterday, hope that's a good sign. :D

Good to hear from you! Yeah, I tend to eat my stress as well and it has been a struggle cutting down on sweets. Best wishes for you and yours as well, and keep drawing! You are too talented to let that creativity sit idle.

Holy cow is there anything Kid can't do?! What happened to the adorable little boy I met?! Great news about the A1C, and no, diabetes is the pits. I can't seem to get mine under control, and that's after having lost 35 pounds. :( But I am so glad yours is going down. Tell Kid I said hi, and to please be careful.

I think stress has a lot to do with the blood sugar thing too, and you have so much going on. I really need to lose more weight too. If I lose another 20 pounds I will still be as heavy as I was 9 months pregnant back in the day!

Kid was quite gleefully telling me last night that the fire fighting support get free food, ha. He has his priorities.

Ack - good luck with finding a new gig - that sounds extremely stressful. I have another animator on my f-list who is having the same issues. What is going on with the industry?

I am coping with chocolate and Korean web novels. The entire industry has been in the dumps for a couple of years. And the animation union is doing negotiations this month so all the large LA studios are in a holding pattern to see if there will be a strike.
