'Cause some of us are actually legitimately wired polyamorous, and believe that love is big enough for everybody? And that just because you love someone new doesn't mean you don't still love the person you're with? And just 'cause I'm with someone with whom I'm deliriously happy doesn't mean I'm dead and not going to notice other shiny people...and since I'm poly and so is my mate, it's all good? The more you love, the more you *can* love. If it's all open and honest and no cheating or hiding things, what's the problem?

Um. Possibly one partner is more "kink oriented" than the other? Perhaps one partner is willing except for one or two particular activities the other partner really really really wants?
Because humans are selfish. We have to train ourselves to think of others first and not everyone bothers to do that.
Poly is not a fair argument. You can cheat in Poly relationships too. It's about honoring agreements, not how many people are involved in said agreement.
