Growing up in Hong Kong, I got a lot of Chinese-dubbed Japanese anime shows. Doraemon. Cat's Eye. Though my absolute utter favorite was City Hunter. I looooooooooooooooved City

I need to watch more Profit. Your description makes him sound rather... Dexter-like. Sociopath with standards and all that.

I was just discussing Cara earlier with someone on my flist, and man, I really wish they hadn't promoted her pre-S2 the way they did, because it really soured me (and you) on her and I didn't get to properly enjoy her for a few episodes because I was waiting for her to piss me off.

I think I've mentioned that Profit is, in a lot of ways, the precursor to Dexter, the character and the show structure. Sociopath with standards, the narration, but Profit is like... way more messed up. I really would love for you to watch all of Profit so I can yak about it with you.

The promotion for S2 was such WEAKSAUCE. The more I think about it, the more I hate how they tried to hype a love triangle when nothing of the sort is happening. I need to rewatch the early part of S2 to properly appreciate Cara, because I SO didn't give a damn back then, which is a fucking shame.

Yeah, I'm planning to download the other eps. I should start that now.

And god, yes. I hate that I was so wary of her at the beginning because they were going in a COMPLETELY different direction than the promotion suggested, ugh.
