So I know very very little about conventions with actual media people in them, because I've never really gone to one. I've been to wrestling events, but most of the cost is hotel, airfare, and car rental. Actual events? Like, $20 a pop ( Read more... )

that would be really strange to not allow people to buy tickets at the door.

From what I gather from people's chatter, it would seem like door tickets are a possibility. Just a question of how much those would be.

Hahaha NO. It doesn't include anything to do with travel. BUT, I think it's so ridic because it includes things like autograph tickets, photo ops, and such.

I think there will be door tickets, for folks who just wanna sit in panels and such and not have the fancy stuff. But I have no clue how much those will be. We'll see.

Okay, so this con is managed by Creation, which is apparently well known for being RIDICULOUSLY AND OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. So I guess it's an issue of price gouging by the organizers. Which is incredibly meh.

dude, that's freaking ridiculous. I can't believe they wouldn't sell day tickets at the door. I can't imagine the show has fans so rabid that they'd all be willing to spend 349 bucks.

I was just replying to Beth saying that there is no more gold packages on that site, meaning it's been sold out. That costs $500.

OMG DUDE!

So I was looking for convention information, and you know how you and me always wanted to go to the Star Trek Experience in Vegas, but we never were able to, and then they decided to shut it down, and I was all WAHH BOOP THAT SUCKS.

Well, APPARENTLY, enough people were upset at the closure that they have decided to make it a permanent thing, except they're moving it to a different location. THIS IS AWESOME, THAT MEANS WE'LL BE ABLE TO GO SOMEDAY LIKE WE ALWAYS PLANNED!
