Am I the only person in the Western World that is alarmed that we seem to be having a debate about whether torture is acceptable these days? Did I fall through a time hole and its 1588 or something? Even the founding fathers, who were a bit behind when it came to women and people who weren't white, were pretty fucking clear on this. -

Not a mournful moan about my love life but an album, out next week in hardcopy but today on iTunes, by the Decemberists. Go and buy it now. It is as good an album as I have heard... well, I think the last album I got was sensational too. But it is still sensational. -
