She frowned as she surfaced from under the dashboard and peered out at the Cluster, which didn't seem to be taking any substantial sort of damage from the drill.

The Cluster seemed to be rather in agreement with this warning. The glowing white surface of the struggling shape rippled, and then reached up and around the drill again, though the scant damage they were doing to the crystalline surface meant that the hard-light body it was trying to create was actively avoiding contact with it, now.
