Today, I haven't been able to dial up at all. gragathaz was online for a while earlier, but when he turned Ch'an over to me, nothing since. For the last several hours, it's given me the same error message as it gave me a few weeks ago1, which can't be accurate, but probably instead means/meant some problem on the ISP's side

Oo, you've seen both the pilot and broadcast versions? Can I just ask...did Susan seem to you to have been sexed down a bit in the broadcast one?

I didn't think of that. Interesting question. I'd have to watch her stupid transister radio spasms again, probably. It didn't leap out at me.
What I can remember about her:
- She hadn't changed into a "space tunic" in the TARDIS scene of the broadcast one.
- In the broadcast version, she didn't refuse the ride home by saying "fog in England whatever", but rather "nighttime walks are romantic" or some such wetter thing. Which precluded Barbara's retort "You say that as if you..."
- Her relationship with the Doctor (mostly when she wanted to stay on Earth longer) had less of the power play, and more of the earthly teenage whinge.
- Her conversation with Ian about pop music was scripted slightly differently (besides her verbal slip-up), but I can't remember how.

Oh, and I delight in taking this opportunity also to retort that we have every episode (except for some Tom Bakers which have gone walkabout, but should turn up eventually). Reconstructions, of course, in some cases. My brother-in-law said it should take sixteen non-stop (no peeing/eating/sleeping) days to watch them all. I view this as a challenge. (;
