I must admit, I was never a huge fan of Charlton Heston (even setting aside his politics) -- but I always did love his performance as the Player King in Branagh's Hamlet, an instance in which Branagh's tendency towards gimmicky casting really, really paid off. So here it is; enjoy.

I am informed, via SHAKSPER, that the already-infamous third-series Arden edition of Hamlet, a multivolume thing that presents the 1603 "bad quarto" text (henceforth, Q1), the 1604 "good quarto" text (Q2), and the 1623 First Folio text (F) separately, is now available at long last, or will be very soon. I would just like to say that warm beer is actually quite an underrated beverage. I am consuming the remnants of an unchilled Bass Ale as I type this, and it's surprisingly tasty.
