I have had this debate with both my sister and jucundushomo recently, and I find their disagreement on the topic baffling.

NB that choices of icon and music do not necessarily indicate my opinion on The Obvious Right Answer.

Okay, see, the difference is? Edward II was on the bottom. And in medieval/Early Modern England, that made all the difference.

Yeah, it might be about our own chosen periods. I'm personally obsessed with the early fourteenth century, and it never would have occurred to me to vote for anyone but Edward II on this poll.

Edward II had the gayest film ever made of his play. It's terrible, but strangely addictive. Obviously not terrible because of the gay, just a terrible film.
