I wrote a Chaucer essay called "A Shiten Shepherde and a Clene Shepe" in first year English. The prof loved it.

(I once actually wrote a paper entitled "Line on the Left, One Cross Each: The Semana Santa Ritual of Iztapalapa." Made sense in context.)
