When I got my schedule for my junior year in college, I was too shocked. I didn’t know that I needed to stay at school at least until seven in the evening plus an hour of walking home. I didn’t know what to do. When I was in high school, my house was four blocks away from school. It was easy to walk home since it’s not yet dark. When I entered college, my schedule was very loose since I just need to go school at least four to six hours a day. I didn’t have problems of getting home since it was still afternoon but now; I need to face this kind of dilemma. I’m afraid of the night. I don’t want to walk home during night time since there are thousands of reasons rushing through my thought about what might happen to me. I am so alone.

First day of my classes arrived. I’m not excited at all. My class started at one in the afternoon and will end at seven in the evening. I slowly walked inside our classroom and my friends greeted me warmly. They asked me how’s my summer vacation and stuff. I tried to be happy and tried to forget what will happen after class but it didn’t work. As soon as the class ended, I slowly walked out of the classroom, biding goodbye to my friends. They are lucky to have someone to accompany them. I frowned and started walking again.
“Taemin-ah!” I looked around to find a running Minho towards me. “Stop!” He said. When he reached my direction, he stopped as he tried to gasp for air. After some seconds, he stared at me. “What?” I asked him, blinking in confusion. He smiled at me and grabbed my hand. “Yah! Why are you-“ I was cut when he held my hand tightly. I felt my heart beating fast. ‘Minho’s holding my hand!’ I said happily in my mind and I was grinning happily while we were walking. “You look like an idiot.” He said. I frowned. I didn’t notice he’s been looking at me. I blushed slightly as he smiled softly. I wondered why he was like this. I stopped when we reached the gate of our school. 'This is it.' After I stepped outside the school, I’m on my own. I’m not safe anymore.
“Let’s go.” He said.
“Huh? O-Okay.” He dragged me to start walking again. Now, I’m feeling lost yet I’m feeling protected when he’s holding my hand. “Where are we going?” I asked. “Home.” He said. “What?” I asked again just to make sure that I heard it right. “Home. I’m walking you home, Taemin.” He said. I wanted to jump to him and give him a big hug. ‘I’m not alone!’ I exclaimed again in my mind. ‘And I’m with him!’ I was partying in my mind when he snapped me out. “W-what?” I asked. “Why are you smiling like an idiot?” He asked. “N-nothing. I’m just happy.” I said and bowed my head. “That’s great then. I’m more comfortable seeing you smiling like that.” He said. I glared at him and he just smiled back at me. “What do you mean by that huh?” I asked. “You’ve been out of yourself since the class started earlier. I was worried, you know? I’m glad to see you smiling again.” He stopped and hugged me. I was shocked. ‘Is this really happening?He's been watching me since earlier? Really? I’m so lucky today, right?’ I hugged back.
“From now on, I’ll be walking you home.”
“Thanks Minho.”
“Thanks for what?”
“For walking me home.” And for making me feel safe. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me.
“No worries Taeminnie. I’m willing to walk you home everyday just so you won’t feel afraid.”
Then we walked home hand in hand not knowing why I’m feeling perfectly fine. If I’ll be walking home every night with him, then I don’t mind going home late every day.
