The show that started it all
It was exactly a year ago when I was flipping channels and stopped at this certain show with Korean guys playing a game of luck with some foreigners as their partners. I didn't know what was going on but the show was really interesting. After watching that episode, I was so eager to know what was the name of the show and who are those guys and such but since we don't have internet connection that time because of typhoon that hit the country, I patiently waited for it.
I found out that the show is called, "2 Days and 1 Night" in english. I started searching for previous episodes since the show started August, 2007. I need to do some catching up with the episodes I missed. I'm lucky enough to find episode 15, where Lee Seung Gi, my favorite solo artist now, first joined the show. As I started watching the previous episodes, I can't help but admire the members of the show. They are funny and you just can't help but smile everytime you watch. You'll see the bonding and the sincerity of their friendship. I became an Airen because Seunggi is indeed very talented. I fell in love with the songs of MC Mong, Eun Jiwon and Kim C. I prayed that Kim Jongmin would return to the show and he did. I watched all shows that Lee Sugeun was in because he never fails to make me laugh like and idiot. Kang Hodong is one of the Korean entertainers that I admire so much. I supported every show and every solo commitments they had. Seopseopdang would be my most favorite members, forever.
I can honestly say that the show made a great impact in my life right now.
I never thought that I would actually be obsessed with Korean music and the likes since I seriously cannot understand a thing. I'm not good with Hangul but I still watched and listened to them. There's something about it that made me want to stay with this fandom and it's all thanks to this show. I met SHINee and other Korean idol groups and artist. I actually thought, "What would my life be when I didn't accidentally stop at that certain channel?" I couldn't care more.
They taught me so many things that until now, I won't ever forget.
I learned that no matter how hard the challenges would be, as long as you are dedicated to accomplish something, you can really do it. Although you might fail many times but as long as you don't give up, you will still succeed in the end. Life is not just a game of luck. You must believe and be positive that luck would be at your side, if not, then don't give up easily, try to compromise and deal with the consequences of it.
At times, I feel that I was being left behind by some people I truly love but at the end of the day, I realized that maybe I should experience to be alone at times so that I can trust myself more and believe that I can also do things on my own.
I'm really happy that I met the show. Kang Hodong, Kim C, Lee Sugeun, Eun Ji Won, MC Mong, Kim Jongmin and Lee Seunggi, the whole staff and crew of 2 Days and 1 Night, if only I could thank them personally for making the dull and depressing moments of my life, happy and full of laughs, I won't hesitate to do it. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for introducing how wonderful your country is and for teaching me life's lessons through your amazing show. I know I might sound creepy and all but seriously, I won't ever get tired of watching every episode of your show.
I wish that your show would be on air forever. No matter what challenges each of your members face, you know that there are hundreds of people all over the world supporting each and every member of the show. I will support all the members of the show as long as I can...
