Donghae has been thinking of what to do on his free day. Of course, he wants to spend it with his monkey Hyukjae but the latter is busy with his own schedule. He then decides to patiently and cutely wait for his monkey to arrive so he busies himself first. An idea suddenly pops inside his mind and smiles widely for thinking the best thing to do while he waits for Hyukjae. He dashes inside his shared room with Leeteuk. He takes out a pen and post-it notes, goes back to the living room, settles himself and starts doodling.
He puts a lot of effort into his writing and when he’s done, he sneaks inside Hyukjae’s room and he placed the post-it notes. After awhile, he looks at the clock, “It’s time for my monkey to arrive.”
*ding dong
He gladly opens the door and he greets Hyukjae and Leeteuk. The two both give him a small smile, enough for him to understand that the two are exhausted. He smiles back at them and the two decided to go to their respective rooms. (Let’s assume that Hae and Hyuk are living in the same floor)
Hyukjae goes inside his bedroom. He jumps into his bed and he was about to close his eyes when something caught his attention. A blue post-it note is placed on his pillow. He takes it and read it carefully.
YOU make ME happy
He smiles after reading it. Not thinking who would do such thing because he perfectly knows that it’s his fish’s idea. “That mushy fish.” He mutters before he takes a quick nap. After 30 minutes, a knock on his door wake him up. “Dinner’s ready, Hyuk.”
He lazily gets up. He sat on the bed, yawning. He stands and was about to look himself at his mirror but another post-it caught his attention.
YOU have a beautiful personality
But before he could even react, he sees another one placed on a book.
YOU understand ME
He cannot help but smile to himself and thinks that Donghae must be bored because of having time to do something as cheesy as this. Suddenly, a ring was heard in his room. “Right, I forgot my phone this morning.” He searches for his phone and when found, he finds another post-it note in it.
Talking to YOU makes MY day
He now wonders how many post-it notes Donghae placed inside his room. He checks his closet, his drawers but no more post-it then he glances at his night stand only to find the 5th post-it note placed on a photo of a smiling EunHae couple.
I love seeing YOU smile
He just chuckles at how adorable this cute thing Donghae did for him. “Yea, Hae and his cheesy self.” He decides to get out of the room and join the other members for dinner. There’s an empty seat next to Donghae so he happily sits in there. He smiles widely at him and the other just simply smiles back. When he was about to put something on his plate, another post-it note is seen. He instantly glances at the person beside him and pouts.
I couldn’t live without You
In Donghae’s mind, he placed the first note on Hyukjae’s pillow because like a pillow, Hyukjae makes him happy whenever he hugs him, kisses him and holds him. The second note is found in the mirror because like what Hyukjae sees in the mirror, not only with good looks but he has a pretty good personality as well. His reflection says that he is beautiful just like his personality. He’s true to himself and of course to Donghae. The third note is found on the cover of a book, which means that like how Hyukjae understands what he reads, he understands Donghae’s attitude and mood swings. He never fails to appreciate every little thing Donghae would do for him just like how he appreciate every word or paragraph he reads on that book. The fourth note is placed on his handphone which clearly states its reason. Talking to Hyukjae is one of the best things that can make Donghae’s day brighter. The fifth note is found on a photo of the two of them which means that Donghae simply loves Hyukjae’s smile and he wants to treasure every single moment that made Hyukjae smile. Lastly, a note on Hyukjae’s plate that says he can’t live without Hyukjae, means Hyukjae is what Donghae keeps looking forward to everyday, like food, he can’t live or survive a day without him.
“Hae…”
“Hmm?” Donghae replies, still focusing on his food. Well, not really, he’s just trying to act normal but of course, Hyukjae isn’t that dumb for not recognizing Donghae’s handwriting. Hyukjae hands Donghae a post-it note which shocked the latter in a good way.
