Leia tried to ignore the noise outside her tiny office onboard the Home One. The capital ship was full almost to capacity these days, hardly allowing for a good work environment. Pilots walked by her door in groups, laughing loudly as they walked to and from the hangar bay; aides hurried through the corridor, intent on whatever work they were currently assigned to.

Sighing, she stared at the reports laid before her. They had had more recruits arrive at the Fleet recently and it was a struggle to find a place for them all. Perhaps if she -

“Sir, I need you to hand over your weapon first.”

“Ah, no.”

- made some arrangements on the transports -

“Captain, I’m afraid I can’t let you see her Highness without -”

“Hey, back off buddy.”

- or put out a request for volunteers to double up -
