The Obels 1.1
New legacy from me! This time i started a sims three legacy. I'm playing using the weekly mini challenges from here. It's also a pixel_trade legacy and this update includes sims by Negomimogen, most notably Alicia. I'm also thinking about making it a differences in the family tree legacy as Alicia is already working up her gardening skills and stuff
This is our founder, Bartholemew Obel. His traits (which were randomised) are good, bookworm, absent-minded, inappropriate and loser. I randomly rolled for the trait that will be passed down through the generations and got Bookworm. Not so bad. He loves Rockabilly music, salmon and the colour lime. In case you can't tell, he also loves pink. He's a pisces and his LTW is to be Leader of the free world.
For the first weekly challenge, he rolled Deadliest Catch. your sims have formed a predeliction for the supernatural, and in an effort to slake their thirst must fish up at least five of the horror themed fish. Options are deathfish, vampirefish, robotfish, angelfish, tragic clownfish and a pirahna. If you have World Adventures, you can add mummyfish, dragonfish and a crocodile to your list of possible catches. The Deathfish is the only one that is REQUIRED
Yeah, don't think that'll go so well in his first week.
First things first, he heads to the city hall to join the politics career
They decide he would make a perfect politician though i somehow don't agree when he looks like that
Then i send him down to the house where negomimogen's sims are living, as i want to get him in a relationship before my story progression mod pairs them all up with random townies
The lady that most catches his eye is Alicia.
They immediately hit it off
Alicia: Zomg! Flowers!
Easily pleased, she immediately hit on him
This is all autonomous, they are obviously perfect for each other. Their star signs are compatible too
She even returns the favour with the flowers
They are getting on so well, he asks her to go steady. Of course she accepts
After a hard day's work securing himself a girlfriend, Bartholemew heads home
A plan of home. He's only on a small lot right now. I'm going to build the family a bigger house at some point, but for now this will suffice
First meal of the legacy, mac and cheese, and disappointingly he does a good job of it
Bartholemew: Urgh, i hate Mondays
Still half asleep, he sets fire to the kitchen while attempting to make waffles. This is when i realise i forgot to put a fire alarm in his house
Bartholemew: My house is on fire, come quick
The firefighter took so long to get there he had to tackle it himself. We lost the unit and the cooker and he had no money left to replace them
Then i saw this. The arrow on the right is Barty's home, the arrow on the left shows how far away the fire engine (and his carpool) is. No wonder it took them like an hour to get to his house

I sent him down to Buckshot lake to get started on trying to catch those fish. Pretty horse on the left
Of course the loser fails to begin with
But he soon gets the hang of it
Bartholemew: i just hold my rod, here in front of me... *snicker*
He calls Alicia to chat. he hasn't seen her for a few days as their work schedules clash
Bartholemew doesn't seem to care that he is eating at a dirty table, or that a fly is heading towards his food
He's finally able to ask Alicia over

She loves the outdoors, is a savvy sculptor, a hopeless romantic, charismatic and a green thumb. her favourites are soul music, stu surprise and the colour yellow. Her LTW is to have the perfect garden and her star sign is cancer
They head almost straight to bed
For a risky woohoo
Bartholemew: I've got something to ask you
Alicia: what? What is it?
Batholemew: Marry me?
Alicia: Omg! Omg! Omg!
Of course she said yes
They hurry and have a private wedding straight away
With the money i redesign the house a bit. This is the downstairs, there's not much to it yet. The area on the left will be a large open space living and the kitchen diner is to the right
Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom, plus extra rooms for the children. this left them with only 275 simoleans
That done, they head to bed to consummate their marriage
I hope you're a better cook than Barty, Alicia (yes they still have no money to replace the burnt out unit lol)
Bartholemew: So hungry! Must see what i can find in my nose to eat
Looks like baby number one is on its way! I had no idea as there was no baby music. Must have been that risky woohoo from before they married
He randomly started crying, no idea why. Maybe its because they can't afford a baby
Bartholemew goes to the grocery store to sell some fish and buy his wife a present
Bartholemew: Here, i bought you a gift
Alicia: for me? Thanks! *touched*
She was very happy with her apple
I send Barty back to Buckshot lake for more fishing, as he has four days off work to celebrate his wedding
Alicia gets started on her perfect garden
Before settling down for a good read.
Alicia: Omg, that gem is big and sparkly!
She keeps getting over excited about her wedding ring
Her bump finally begins to show
Her maternity outfits are actually not that bad for a change
She still has time to keep up with her garden. But that could be as there are just three plants and a tree
Bartholemew has finally caught something bigger than a minnow. Still no sign of any of the fish he needs to catch though, but i think his fishing level is too low. He's only on three
He goes home to a broken bath and some annoying music that played all night that i couldn't find the source of. It sounded like the ghost hunter music

Naturally, Alicia is excited about becoming a mother. But then again, everything excites her
Madeline Buckshot came to visit. She's a colleague of Barty's. She looks fierce with that cane
I send Alicia to greet her
They settle down to watch a romcom together
Labour time!
Madeline: *thinking* 'What is that bitch yelling about'
Alicia: *Panics*
Alicia: *eyes widen* No, i'm not ready!
Madeline: *realises what's happening*
Izak: Hi, there *wink*
The baby is a little boy, Izak and he rolled the loner and brave traits
That's it this time! next time... i haven't played that far yet, but hopefully more babies XD
