I always mean to do one of these. Like I always mean to go through the kitchen cupboards and throw out the food containers without lids and vice-versa. And here I am, on vacation, with plenty of time on my hands

Certainly. A caveat, however - I don't update that often. I used to be quite the blogwhore but most of my friends moved over to FaceBook (including those on LJ) and abandoned their blogs.
I do read and comment regularly though - just don't expect too many mindblowing posts from yours truly. :-)
I'm an old fat lady with 2 cats and lots of computers and gadgets. I knit teddy bears and watch a lot of TV including baseball even though my team, this year, promises to be the worst team ever. I live in downtown Seattle in a condo that overlooks the stadium used for professional football and professional soccer. I work at home as a web producer - a job I love.
I write my journal for me. It's open and public and I'll worn you that I do post a lot.
angelamermaid one time volunteered the exact solution my Mom needed for her TV problem. Mon was on the southeast corner of the U.S. I was on the northwest corner of the U.S. and angelamermaid's location made us the perfect triangle of support. Mom was so tickled at the solution and am still grateful.
I'm a fellow Canadian who is one province over from angelamermaid in beautiful British Columbia. My age is the ultimate answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything. I live with three cats. I'm not quite on the slippery slope to "crazy cat lady" yet -- I don't think I am, at least -- only because I don't have room in my apartment for another litter box or the income for more vet bills.
I work on a seasonal basis doing transcription and editing. The job isn't very exciting, but it pays well.
I have Asperger's Syndrome. I was diagnosed about five years ago. This means, among other things, that I have a tendency to be socially clueless.
My journal is a mixed bag. Sometimes I write about the TV shows I watch. A lot of the time I write about the cats. Sometimes I complain about my job or lack of same. Most of my journal is open and unlocked and very few entries are friends-only, so feel free to check it out and see if you like it.
My name is Sophia, I am married with 3 cats and a toddler whose almost 18 mths old. And on the cusp of 40. With a kidney transplant from my hubby 4 yrs ago. How I got so lucky in so many ways remains a mystery to me, but I am nevertheless grateful.
I live in the same city as Angela. Heck, even work downtown like her. But more like the other end of downtown.
I am a vancouverite, even tho I've been in cgy for 13 yrs already. I always will be.
I <3 my baby, cats, hubby, work, ballroom dancing, and my transplant clinic.
Hello, fellow former-New-Brunswicker! I found you via over_forty, and thought I'd read up - you sound nifty. :)
I'm in Ottawa now and have no kids, have 4 cats with my partner N, and am in a geeky-ish tech writing/customer support job who is learning she likes editing and such. I make jewellery and do other crafty stuff, like to read and watch movies and telly (spec fic mostly), and love music of all sorts.
I was born in Perth-Andover but never lived there; lived in Plaster Rock, in Fredericton twice, and in St. Stephen. I wasn't an Army brat, we just moved a lot (unstable family situation, longish story).
